Born into a family who thinks success is measured in money and social status, Maki was never one that truly fit in with the rest. His love for music started at a very young age but such things were highly frowned upon by his parents. They tried to raise their son like any other wealthy family would and tried to mold him in their own casts but he didn't want everything in life to be handed to him on a golden platter. His upbringing had the opposite effect on him, it humbled him and made him grateful for the little things that he could earn for himself. It made him proud of even the tiniest accomplishments that he could make without anyone's help and it taught him how to be self-sufficient and independent.Once he was old enough to save up the money needed to move out, he did so. He found himself a small apartment where he could focus on the thing he loved since he was a child, music. Together with his childhood best friend, Emi, he started a band called Midnight Seoul. Even though he takes the roles of lead vocal and bassist, he never tries to outshine his bandmates. He believes that everyone contributes equally therefore they all deserve equal credit and recognition. He writes most of their songs and composes them as well. The band has had their ups and downs with members coming and going but he has done his best to keep it together.The band picks up gigs here and there but it isn't enough to be a reliable source of income so Maki does work on the side, whatever he can to make a living for himself. In his free time he likes to work out and hang out with his friends. He has a soft spot for animals as well.Upon first glance, people find him rather intimidating and scary but they are quickly shown his soft side.
